The massive deck was the main thing that originally drew me to 10 Sandpiper. I have since lovingly restored it and tried to create a tropical entertainment / relaxation area. I have enjoyed hosting many parties and dinner parties on the deck. The yard was a big enough space for my dog to enjoy and very easily maintained.

As soon as I walked into the house I knew it had loads of potential so I had grand plans to renovate it and had some plans drawn up so that I could play with the design. I had planned to put a roof on the deck to extend the living area with and outdoor kitchen/pizza oven that would be great for year round entertaining.

With two large living spaces, I had envisaged converting the front living room to a fourth bedroom with ensuite at the front of the house.

* The whole house has been replumbed with new piping running through the roof instead of underground, with a gas fitting to allow for gas hot water and cooktop to be hooked up.
* The roof was repointed and resprayed along with the guttering and garage doors.
* The fence on the deck side has been totally replaced and the side gate on the opposite side has also been replaced.
* The gardens and back retaining wall have also been replaced and planted out. The back garden beds were professionally landscaped
* The interior walls were all freshly painted 3 years ago.
